CM Consulting was recommended by a business associate to the Waihi Surf Club to look at assisting with outstanding building consent issues around a number of compliance issues works at the club covering a 5-year period.
Craig met with the Club captain and began investigating the outstanding compliance issues and as a result CM Consulting made an offer to assist with all club consenting issues for both past, current and future on a pro bono (free) basis.
Outstanding compliance issues were resolved, and a new consent was applied for in regard to upgrading the amenity area within the clubhouse. Craig organised the design, engineering and consent management through Kirk Roberts Engineering on a pro bono basis.
The actual construction work was negotiated by CM Consulting at discounted rates to ensure a good outcome for the club.
CM Consulting also undertook the Project Management of a proposed new lifeguard tower at Bowentown at the southern end of Waihi Beach on behalf of the club.
Craig organised the engineering of the surf tower through Kirk Roberts Engineering again on a pro bono basis and also the submission of a resource consent by a planning company Lysaght at significantly reduced rates. This work included the site survey and management of the resource consent submission.
The tower design has been finalised and Craig has arranged huge discounts for the supply and manufacture of the tower in order to assist the club, along with the free delivery of the tower to be placed in situ by McLeod Hiabs.
Craig is extremely grateful to the companies that have supported the Waihi Surf club to achieve these outcomes.
